Today we observe the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ, or Corpus Christi. By doing so, we celebrate our belief that Christ is truly present on the altar during Mass in the consecrated bread and wine. During Mass, the bread and wine become the true body and precious blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
